Hi Kapil

From a macro level, we are all on the same page that the best way we meet the objects/purpose of the Trust (which is to alleviate poverty and suffering) is to enhance access to communication, provide education, health, and housing.

Agreeing that communication access is a good place to start we look at the specifics as to look at a gap analysis and see what we can do, base on limited resources to achieve the best outcome first. Taking on board the project as you suggested will then be planned/priced/budgeted/approved and then actioned with tracked results to learn and to build on.

All good

I was just gonna post a complaint that nobody has replied to my suggestions.
Bt I forgot to click submit...
And suddenly a whole bunch of answers popped up ! Must be my puter, slow to download stuff.
I'm very pleased to read so many replies, mostly supportive. Good to know der is life in dem tar Trust ...
So where to from here? See what Paddy comes up with for a closed group site for us to start meeting regularly.
I think its a good idea to start getting more definite and specific now . It could well be that we are getting close now to start turning over sum money.
It could happen quite fast and suddenly. Would be good to be ready when it does.
The idea I posted about helping poor people in de Filippines who have no way to connect to de internet and hence cant benefit from our system still seems to be the best application of our funds so far, Because it will directly help to spin they fly wheel faster and build our RS eco system, and at same tym benefit very long term the poorest of the poor
I know it is tempting to wanna help all the different charities run by our members. But I think the best way for them to benefit is to run campaigns on P2P for them.
And of course this idea is not just for Fili, It will work just as well in other countries.
Thoughts ?

Hi Clive

Yes I believe we left it on the basis of agreeing on an outcome (purpose) and not to take the roll/responsibility of Governments

Kapil - we had discussions before on the Trustees usergroup which were eventually abandoned with many disagreements on how to go about identifying causes and needs that fit the criteria of the TRUST and then to apportion funds accordingly.

The discussion on the process died but I dont believe one can do it by people just simply throwing ideas out and being voted on. There are so many deserving needs and so little funds to address them so it the funds need to be leveraged to provide as much benefit as possible sustainably rather than only immediate relief.

When we have an appropriate forum maybe we can agree on a basic process outline in place so that we can put some meat on the bones.

I am here Kapil. I like your idea and I would also like us to discuss how we can help the many starving children around the world.

There are many Realstew members here that are a Charity Case. That need help to get out of poverty . Maybe if the money flows in we could give to the members who have stuck around on the platform to make there lives better? :woohoo:

Good idea Kapil! It would be good to know who all is still active and interested.

Although I read a lot of the post, I do not reply a lot and some may not think I am active.

I think that is a great idea Kapil, Maybe Wayne could send everyone an email, I would be happy to schedule a Zoom meeting, we could all attend and start having a discussion.
